Background & expertise

Marlena joined abci Avocats | Rechtsanwälte in 2008. As Office Manager, she plays a central role in the firm’s day-to-day organization and administrative management. She ensures the smooth operation of the office and supports the lawyers with the administrative and legal management of matters involving French, German, and international business law.

Marlena holds a master’s degree in French as a Foreign Language and a bachelor’s degree in German Studies. She has also completed several advanced training programs at ENADEP (the French National School of Law and Procedure), further strengthening her expertise in legal administration, corporate formalities, and law firm procedures.

She is responsible for the firm’s overall administrative management. Her work includes coordinating daily operations, organizing business travel, preparing and issuing invoices, monitoring payments, and supporting the firm’s administrative and financial management. She also ensures the efficient coordination of internal processes and contributes to the smooth handling of client matters.

A significant part of her role involves managing legal and corporate formalities. She assists the lawyers with company incorporations, corporate formations, amendments to articles of association, changes of directors and officers, registered office transfers, capital increases and reductions, corporate restructurings, as well as company dissolutions and business closures.

Marlena also coordinates the filing of annual financial statements, manages corporate filings and registry formalities, handles electronic communications with French courts through the Réseau privé virtuel des avocats (RPVA), oversees administrative procedures relating to CARPA, and supports numerous other legal and administrative processes required for the efficient handling of client matters.

Working closely with courts, public authorities, commercial registries, professional organizations, service providers, and suppliers, she contributes to the high level of service and responsiveness that characterizes the firm.

Fluent in French, German, English, and Polish, Marlena communicates daily with the firm’s international clients and business partners. Her multilingual skills are a valuable asset in the management of Franco-German and international matters and help ensure seamless communication across borders.

Outside the office, Marlena enjoys sports, traveling – particularly in Asia –  and spending time outdoors with her loyal dachshund, who occasionally accompanies her to the office.
